Ready for these great SEO tips?  Let's get started.

  1. Focus on user experience
Our first expert is Brian Dean of Backlinks.

Brian talks about the importance of user experience signals in search engine rankings.  We have already heard from Google that RankBrain is their third most important ranking factor, and this trend is not only likely to continue but will become even more important in 2020.

If you are not clear about what RankBrain is, you are not alone;  It seems to be something outside of science fiction.  And, it's a machine learning system that helps Google decide where pages should rank in search results.  So, maybe it's a little sci-fi.

To put it more simply, RankBrain observes how users interact with search results and rank results based on that.  If users click on a result and immediately bounce off the site, the site will begin to lose ranking.  However, if users click on a result and spend time on the site, the site will start to gain rankings (or stay in higher rankings).

Based on user experience with all sites.

Brian suggests optimizing around medium-tailed keywords to get the most out of your pond when it comes to engine optimization and rankbrain.  "When you customize your page around a medium tail keyword (and make that page great), RankBrain will automatically rank you for that word and for thousands of similar keywords," he said.

In addition to optimizing for medium tail keywords, RankBrain shows it:

Stay time: How long a visitor stays on your site (this is a good time to spend more than 3 minutes).
Click-through Rate: The percentage of searchers who clicked on your search results.

  2.  Overhaul the posts around your first post
Next, we have Andy Crestodina, co-founder and chief marketing officer of Orbit Media.

Andy suggests looking for posts that rank almost higher and rewrite them.  You can search for these posts in Google Analytics by going to Acquisition »Search Console» Query and setting up an advanced filter to show phrases where your average position (rank) is above 10 (page 2).

Now give those articles an overhaul.  Add details, examples, answers, statistics, images, contributory quotes and anything else to make it a better part.

If you are big in terms of quality, you are more likely to add length and use of keyframes naturally.  Make it a page that you are proud of, you want to print it and frame it on the wall.

Here are 3 ways to make this strategy more effective:

Check all page rankings so you don't lose relevance for even better quality phrases
As you rewrite, pay attention to the attached subtopics, which are visible on the search results page in the "People Ask" section and in the "Related Searches" at the bottom of the page.
